The Perfect Pickin' Pouch attaches to the back of the guitar by way of the two straps attached to the D-rings at either end of the cushion.
To secure the straps properly to the cushion:
Hold the cushion toward you with the pockets facing you and the openings of the pockets facing up.
The straps should be threaded through the D-rings so that the nylon face (not the Velcro face) of the strap faces toward the guitar (away from you). The Velcro end of the strap should be threaded through each D-ring toward you and then folded back on themselves so that the Velcro hook and loop faces are secured to one other. The short end of the strap will be thus facing toward you, not the guitar.

To secure The Perfect Pickin' Pouch to your instrument:
First secure the guitar strap to your guitar by attaching either end of the guitar strap to the strap buttons at the base of the guitar and the heel of the neck (if your guitar does not have a heel strap button, see below for further suggestions).
Next connect The Perfect Pickin' Pouch to the back of the guitar by fitting each leather tip over one of the guitar strap buttons. If the strap buttons are too large, the holes in the leather tips can be enlarged by carefully cutting further along the precut slit on the hole. By fitting the The Perfect Pickin' Pouch straps over the guitar straps, the guitar is further prevented from slipping of the guitar straps, as can often happen.
The The Perfect Pickin' Pouch straps can, however, be attached under the guitar straps if you prefer.
To add or remove stuffing:
An elastic cord fitted around end of The Perfect Pickin' Pouch to compress for narrower profile. |
Open the Velcro enclosure behind the pocket. Cover the Velcro enclosures temporarily with masking tape so as to avoid getting stuffing material caught in the hooks of the Velcro
Make sure, when adding or removing any stuffing, that it is evenly distributed on either side of the eternal support ribbon.
An elastic band can also be fitted around the end of the device in order to compress it for a narrower profile (see picture to the right).
Cleaning the device:
Although I wouldn't recommend actually washing the device, a damp rag and mild soap should do for spot removal. A lint brush can be used to remove lint or hair. The device is made of a Rayon/Acrylic synthetic material; so do not use any chemical solvents.
When adding or removing stuffing, it is inevitable that some will stick to the outside of the device. You can easily remove this by using a damp sponge or a lint brush. The filling will ball-up and be easily wiped off.
